“…Moses, the servant of God had just passed away and Joshua was now the new leader of the people of God. He had big shoes to fill, the responsibility was great and God was commissioning him to resume leadership over Israel. How was this new leader going to meet the demands of over four million people? This needed exceptional management ability and the wisdom that could only come from God. Interestingly, before his death, Moses imparted the Spirit of Wisdom to Joshua ( Deut 34:9), the same Spirit that enabled him to lead, write and give the people the Law with over 2700 commandments, the same Spirit that enabled him to be one of the greatest war strategist in human history. It was this Spirit of wisdom that gave him practical insight to dealing with the increasing domestic issues of Israel…And the Lord in His grace revealed this to Joshua. He told him if he ever wanted to be successful and prosperous in his assignment and life, especially in the fulfilment of God’s mandate, he needed to incorporate the law of meditation into his life….”
